Scour Project
Client: University of Hull
about the project...
The University of Hull was founded in 1927. It's regularly voted as one of the friendliest places to study in student opinion polls and has a highly regarded academic tradition. Famous alumni include the late Film Director Anthony Minghella, Lord (Roy) Hattersley as well as Ben Watt and Tracey Thorn of Everything But The Girl. Eon Visual Media has produced a significant amount of promotional and recruitment material to help the University compete for the best students and attract great staff.
3d motion graphics
In addition to interviews with key project individuals our film uses live action video footage from the University's simulator research facility at The Deep submarium in Hull combined with original motion graphics which take viewers on a journey through the development of the Scour Project and to experience it coming to life using 3D visualisation.
promotional video
Our brief was to produce a promotional film to demonstrate CASS’s (The Centre for Adaptive Science & Sustainability at the University of Hull) experience, skills and expertise in the environmental and renewable energy sectors; in particular focusing on their involvement in the Scour Project.
The Scour Project aims to assess and measure the associated degradation effects on the foundations and base of wind turbines at sea – the so called 'scour' effect.
