There was very much a sporting agenda at last weeks breakfast presentation meeting for The Children's University held at the KC stadium.

Over 150 guests had been invited along to the meeting where they were treated to presentations from Craig Sandercock - Head Coach of Hull Kingston Rovers, Nick Rider – CEO of England Squash and a Q&A session with Hull City legend Ian Ashbee.

The central theme in each presentation was the importance of developing any sport at grass roots level and in getting kids involved from an early age.

Guests were also treated to a couple of videos, the first of which showed a coaching session organised jointly by Hull Children's University and Humber Junior Squash Academy for some groups of school children. The second film was a promotional video for the Allam British Squash Open which comes to Hull for 2012/13. You can view the British Open promotional trailer above.
