Bringing the X-Factor to Craven Park
Hull KR opened the new Super League season in style as X-Factor star Olly Murs turned up to woo the crowd before the first home fixture against Salford. The Star of the reality show performed a number of classic songs before kick off including Robins terrace anthem The Red, Red Robin and Queen’s Don’t Stop Me Now.
Eon Media were on hand to film exclusive behind the scenes footage, including Olly’s half time appearance in full Hull KR strip when he managed to convert 3 out of 4 penalty kicks.
By the end of the game it was certainly the Rovers faithful that were singing as their side cruised to a 30-12 victory over The Reds.
As well as filming the match for www.hullkr.tv the footage of Olly was edited on the day and sent directly to YTV for broadcast that evening before the match was over.
