Community Spirit Camps DVD
Over the past few months we’ve been in production of video content for YHA to help them publicise their Community Spirit Camps.
We spent several months last year following the lives of two groups of young people as they prepared to participate at the camps. We asked them questions about what community meant to them and what their expectations of the camp were. We then filmed their experiences of the camp itself.
The rural locations of the YHA’s camps are often in sharp contrast to the urban environment that many young people are familiar with.
We then followed up with one of the groups to see what impact it had had on their attitude to community spirit on their return to their home environment. The video will be distributed on DVD and online to promote the scheme amongst Community Leaders and Social Workers and to encourage wider participation.
